bio

after growing up in grosse pointe, michigan, i crossed the country to santa barbara, california where i began my intense photo education at brooks institute of photography. upon graduation with honors, i took a staff photography position at jet propulsion laboratory in pasadena to utilize my double major in industrial/scientific photography & color technology. though the work was literally out of this world, i needed to be in charge of my own destiny. after almost four years, i left jpl to assist some amazing l.a. photographers & eek out some shooting jobs of my own.

in the meanwhile, i married an engineer, & we welcomed our first baby. we needed more space & a change of pace, so after a 14 year stint in southern california , we decided to move. my husband, two kids, two dogs, & i ended up in a big, red house between boulder and denver, & we are loving our coloradan lifestyle! the unending sunshine, friendly people, & gorgeous landscape make photography a true pleasure here.

a picture is worth 1000 words... that's what some people say. though i definitely get my 1000 words in, too, i love to create photos that make words unnecessary. capturing a moment in time & creating something simply beautiful is what i strive to do.
